polka dotted

Brenda made this adorable hat (and perfectly trimmed pom) by Tori Yu. Released this October and in time for holiday gifting, the Delightful Dot Hat can be knit in countless color combos.

Delightful Dot uses DK weight for the main and mohair for the dots. The pattern ranges from baby to XL adult sizes and is knit the round with the mohair held double. If mohair is not your favorite, you can use another DK in a color you like.

It also comes in a cowl version!

Kingsey Cowl and Hat

Berroco released this beautiful, heavy worsted yarn for fall. The Mochi is a chainette with speckles throughout the fiber. It is available in 9 gorgeous colors. We used it to knit up the Kingsey cowl and hat combo. This pattern calls for a size 6 for the ribbing and 8 for the main. It knits up quick and makes a great weekend project.

I will tell you as easy and quick as this pattern is ~ I found that using DPN’s is quite fiddly when decreasing in a pattern…in the round. If it hadn’t been so late I’d have gone down to the shop and grabbed my circulars and magic looped it. Next time.
