Sock Class : 2 at a time, toe up

Description:  In this class, you will learn how to make socks using the magic loop method from the toe up.  Both socks are made at the same time.  You will learn the Turkish cast-on for a seamless toe, a very simple short-row heel method, and Elizabeth Zimmermann’s sewn bind-off.  After completing this course, you will be able to use these three skills for almost any sock design you desire.

Prerequisites:  For the intermediate knitter who is proficient at knitting and purling, increasing and decreasing. 

Materials Needed:

100 grams sock yarn, divided into two equal balls, or 2 – 50 gram skeins

40-inch circular needles, size 2 OR size to match sock yarn purchased (on label)

tapestry/yarn needle

2 stitch markers, 1 locking stitch marker

Pattern will be provided 

Class Schedule & Cost:

Saturdays, April 18, May 2, and May 16, 10am to 12 noon.  $40 per person plus materials.
